Ultimate Lacrosse 2032 Media Day | Lehigh Valley Lacrosse Photographer
I recently had the chance to photograph a Media Day for Ultimate Lacrosse 2032, and it turned into one of those sessions that shows exactly why team Media Days are becoming so popular with sports teams across the Lehigh Valley and Poconos.
We had 13 athletes come out for the session, and from the very beginning the energy was there. Some players showed up not quite sure what to expect — which is completely normal — but that never lasts long.
Once they see the first few images on the back of the camera, everything changes.
Confidence builds fast, teammates start hyping each other up, and suddenly it feels less like a photo shoot and more like a team experience.
By the end of the session, the girls were bringing their own pose ideas, helping each other look fierce, and celebrating every great shot that popped up on the screen.
That transformation is exactly why team Media Day photography has become such a hit with club and school teams.
And the Ultimate Lacrosse 2032 team absolutely brought it.
A Team Media Day in the Most Unexpected Place
This team Media Day session was hosted at Slatington Marketplace in Slatington, PA, and the setup was definitely one of the more unique locations I’ve photographed in.
Instead of a traditional studio, we set up right in the hallway between the antique marketplace and a live band playing Friday night music.
If you stepped outside the photo area, you’d find antiques on one side and a full band performing on the other. It wasn’t quiet, it wasn’t polished, and it definitely wasn’t a typical photography setup.
But here’s the best part:
You would never know it from the photos.
The dramatic backgrounds you see in the final images? On the other side of that backdrop was literally a band playing live music while shoppers wandered through the marketplace.
It’s proof that great team sports portraits don’t come from fancy studios — they come from creativity, good lighting, and athletes who bring the energy.
And this team did exactly that.
Why Teams Love Media Day Sessions
Traditional team photos will always have their place, but Media Day sessions give teams something completely different.
Instead of rushed photos before a game, Media Days give athletes a chance to feel like the stars. Each player gets individual portraits along with team images that look more like posters than standard sports photos.
These sessions work great for:
Social media graphics
Team banners
Player profiles
Recruiting pages
End-of-season gifts
Keepsakes for families
For many teams, Media Day becomes more than just photos — it turns into a shared experience where teammates build each other up and create excitement for the season ahead.
You can see that energy in every image from this session.
